Currently operating in 62 countries with over 4000 stores, Hennes & Mauritz, otherwise better known as H&M, opened its first store in Sweden in 1947. Since inception, the store has grown to a multi-national brand with a presence on different continents.
Founded by Erling Persson, the store is also ranked the second largest global clothing retailer worldwide.
On the African continent, H&M continues to expand its operations in three main markets, namely:
- Egypt (11 stores)
- South Africa (5 stores)
- Morocco (3 stores)
The brand also has a massive 445 stores in the United States, 418 in Germany and 145 in Sweden.
As a way of enhancing the shopping experience for its clients, H&M introduced a simple solution in the form of the H&M credit card. The card works similarly to a gift card and offers clients convenient ways to enjoy their shopping.
Although it isn’t redeemable for cash, the card gives users an easy way to spend and enjoy shopping without limits.
Tell me more about the H&M credit card?
The H&M credit card can be used as full or part-payment for any goods in any H&M store in South Africa.
The card is not redeemable for cash and isn’t valid for online purchases. No service fees apply. The card is valid for 3 years from date of purchase or from date of top up.
How does the H&M credit card work?
You simply present the H&M credit card as payment towards your purchases. Purchases will be deducted until the card value reaches zero.
When you use the card, the amount will be deducted from your card and any remaining balance will be displayed on your receipt. This balance may then be applied to future purchases.
