Offered to individuals at least 18 years old, African Bank loans are from R500 to R150 000. Qualifying individuals are given 3 to 60 months to pay ate fixed repayment terms. Applicants must also bring their I.D. book, their latest original payslip, and 1 months’ bank statement reflecting your salary deposit or savings book and proof of residence. This can be in the form of the latest utility bill or bill from a retailer account. This proof needs to be less than 3 months’ old.
Credit Life insurance is included on all personal loans. This insurance covers:
- Death (Settlement)
- Permanent Disability (Settlement)
- Temporary Disability (Settlement)
- Retrenchment (Instalment and Conditional Settlement)
- Short Time (Instalment)
- Compulsory Unpaid Leave/Temporary Lay-off (Instalment)
Clients won’t be covered for retrenchment, short time and compulsory unpaid leave within 30 days from the start of the policy.
The institution also encourages clients to make use of their ‘MyLifeNeeds’ product, which is designed to assist clients to assess and manage their financial health and identify their financial needs as they navigate their life events.
