    We hear people complain of poor customer service each day. However, what do people in customer service jobs actually do? If you are looking to work in a customer service orientated job, you are going have many patience because you are going to work with various service providers.

    This includes the position of a receptionist, or a customer service representative. You need to greed customers, manage calls, try to solve customer related problems and make sure that the reception area, – If working in an office environment – is neat and tidy.

    With customer service jobs, you are going to work in different environments and different circumstances, depending on the employer, but chances are that you are going to do business with the same customers and/or suppliers; this means that you are going to create a long-term relationship with the parties. It is therefore of the utmost importance that the working relationship is one of sincerity and that you are have patience with each person that comes across your way.

    The salary figure will depend on your education, your experience, as well as your location. Cape Town pays on an average -2% less in costumer’s service salaries as compared to Johannesburg. On average, receptionist can earn up to R65, 327per year. An account administrator can earn up to R121, 928 per year but with increase accounting skill, the pay will increase. Ever wondered what an administration clerk might be taking home at the end of the month? The salary scale is about R92, 985 annually, but as the workers gain more experience, the more the pay will increase.

    There are so many college and diploma courses to follow that can help you get the perfect costumer service job along with the paycheck. If you like working with people and want satisfaction in your careers, train for customer service jobs.
